Will there be another "Revival" for the true church of Jesus Christ in America?? If so, how will this revival come about??
Grievously, I believe it will require a compelling, and a mighty persuasive, world shaking event to establish it. Throughout the book of Isaiah, we are warned that the "Spirit of Babylon" must first be dealt with.
Babylon has continually and consistently been represented by the "spirits of wealth, self-gratification and comfort"!! These spirits and attitudes have continued throughout the ages right up until today!
Isaiah in short states clearly that there will be no extensive last revival unless the "spirits of wantonness, selfishness and ease" are eradicated!! All our prayers and fierce lamenting for God to pour out His Spirit upon us are futile, unless He alone rattles and upsets all things!!
Gods Word states in Isaiah 47:8-11:
(8.) Therefore hear now this, thou that are given to pleasures, that dwellest carelessly, that sayest in thine heart, I am, and none else beside me; I shall not sit as a widow, neither shall I know the loss of children: (9.) But these two things shall come to thee in a moment in one day, the loss of children, and widowhood: they shall come upon thee in their perfection for the multitude of thy sorceries, and for the great abundance of thine enchantments. (10.) For thou hast trusted in thy wickedness: thou hast said, None seeth me. Thy wisdom and thy knowledge, it hath perverted thee; and thou has said in thine heart, I am, and none else beside me. (11.) Therefore shall evil come upon thee; thou shalt not know from whence it riseth: and mischief shall fall upon thee; thou shalt not be able to put it off: and desolation shall come upon thee suddenly, which thou shall not know.
God never overlooks sin, but He will take down the devil's strongholds!! Unfortunately, God is going to Sound the Alarm and He is going to give a Wake-up Call to His church. There will be a Swift Barrenness which will actually be a great Act of Love on His part!
God's love for His people is so great that He refuses to permit our greed, selfishness or ease to blind and ruin the object of His love!
The proof that revival unattainable in an era of ease and prosperity is this scripture verse: Isaiah 26:10 (KJV) Let favor be shewed to the wicked, yet will he not learn righteousness: in thee land of uprightness will he deal unjustly, and will not behold the majesty of the Lord!.
This verse is clearly stating that, "In a time of blessing, the people will not turn from their wicked ways!" Nothing will happen until our wealth and our self-gratification are affected. With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness. Isaiah 26:9 (KJV)
Isaiah offers one final proof that a "last revival" will come only after destruction: Isaiah 59:18-21 (KJV) (18.) According to their deeds, accordingly he will repay, fury to his adversaries, recompense to his enemies; to the islands he will repay recompense. (19.) So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him. (20.) And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith the Lord. (21.) As for me, this is my covenant with them, saith the Lord; My Spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed's seed, saith the Lord, from henceforth and forever.
Repentance is the KEY to REVIVAL friends! Faith will unlock the door!
My friends, the spirit of Babylon is about to be broken through devastation, still we cannot misinterpret Isaiah's prophecy as a message of gloom and doom. Quite the contrary, because I believe what Jesus said, "When these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh." Luke 21:28 (KJV)
