My Loving Brother Joe & His Wife Jamie!

But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed.
Isaiah 53:5

I received a devastating telephone call in November 2015, just a couple of weeks before Thanksgiving. My younger brother Joe's wife Jamie, called me and told me my brother had to go to the ER because he had severe pain with difficulty breathing, there he was diagnosed with a rather large Cancerous Pancreatic Tumor.

When we hung up, I didn't remember much other than those mind boggling words of, pancreatic cancer from our phone conversation. I cried, I told my husband and went to prayer immediately thereafter.

Then I put the request on this website, I called friends that I KNEW would pray, I contacted every prayer chain I knew of, and I listed it on my status on Facebook for friends to pray. I knew that if we didn't "Storm the Gates of Heaven" my brother could be dead in a matter of weeks or months.

Now, I know there is a reason and a time for EVERYTHING under the sun! And, while we don't always understand why God allows and also takes us through crushing events in our lives, this one thing I know, "God, His Son Jesus and The Holy Spirit" are in control of ALL that any of us go through!

We are His children and with prayer we can come boldly before God, His Son, straight to their Throne Room and trust God to walk with us, help us and HEAL us! His Word promises us in Hebrews: Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:16

Are YOU Ready for REVIVAL???

Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee? Show us thy "mercy," O Lord, and grant us thy salvation.
Psalm 85:6,7

(Please, If you do nothing else, check out the video at the end of this blog, thank you and God Bless!)

David is plainly and openly asking God in this psalm, for a "revival," in the land, by virtue of His mercy. He is saying, "O Lord, allow your people to rejoice once more in their salvation!

But, where does revival start, how is it established once more in the heart of everyone who has accepted and absolutely loves the Lord Jesus Christ??

For the non-christian, you can't even be rejuvenated or renewed because you must first be fashioned and, made alive in Christ Jesus!
God's Word States: But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ... (by grace we are saved)And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus... Ephesians 2:4-6
If you are a believer and follower of Christ Jesus then clearly revival begins with "YOU"! As believers, we are to continually growing in Christ Jesus and His ways.
God's Word Says: Show me thy ways, O Lord; teach me thy paths. Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.
Psalm 25:4-5
Believers it's time to we get inspired and excited, just like David was and we take upward steps in our stride, walk purposefully towards a quickening and a restoration by the Holy Spirit of God! David had a true hunger and thirst to know God, His concepts and His principles.
God's Word Says: I long for Your precepts; Renew me through Your righteousness. Psalm 119:40 (AMP) And, I will walk at liberty, For I seek and deeply long for Your precepts. Psalm 119:45 (AMP)
This calls for a pure and genuine repentance! David without question, certainly knew he must repent of his adultery with Bathsheba and his responsibility for the outright murder of Uriah that is why he prayed for God to create a new and a clean heart in him, that his spirit would rightly be renewed within him. Only God can cleanse and renew the spirit within us, exactly as he did for David. God's Word Says: Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Psalm 51:10

So, my friends are YOU ready for revival in your life? Do you need a cleansing, a renewing of your heart and spirit?? Do you have a real hunger and thirst to know God, His precious Son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit more than you ever have before??

If so, "Revival Starts With YOU"! Only then will it be possible for revival to spread to those around you, not only in the church, but to those lost in our neighborhoods and communities!

Just remember, there is no revival without repentance, or forgiveness of sins. And, the greatest joy is knowing that we are temporarily here on earth, our greatest hope and our greatest longing should be eternal life with Jesus Christ! That's what revival is for... getting ready to step into heaven when Jesus calls us home!

Dear Lord Jesus, I pray you have mercy on us, your children, our nation and this old world. Please Lord Jesus, "Revive Us Once More"!! Amen

What Is Lupus?
What a great question, because most people I've been exposed to have no idea of what I'm talking about when I say, I have Lupus, an Auto-immune Disease.

Auto-Immune Disease?
Lupus is what's known as an autoimmune disease. This means that people with lupus have their immune system actively attack them instead of attacking invading antibodies.

So what's an antibody you ask?
(Antibody: any of various proteins produced in the blood in response to the presence of an antigen. By becoming attached to antigens or infectious organisms antibodies can render them harmless or cause them to be destroyed
And, rather than seeing only real threats to the body, lupus treats healthy tissue within the body as threats and breaks those down as well.

Sadly, there's no concrete cause for Lupus that's known. For now, it appears that it may be a genetic defect in specific genes. However, it is known that specific things trigger Lupus attacks (that can go into remission). There are a lot of things like tobacco, chemicals, and certain medicines that will trigger a person's lupus and result in a distinct attack. Other people have it trigger through environmental aspects like sunlight.

There Are Five Main Types
(Yes! I said 5)

1. Discoid Lupus: Lupus Limited to the Skin.
2. Systemic Lupus Erythematosus: Lupus that can affect all organs, joints, muscles, skin, kidneys, heart, brain, nervous system, blood, bones, lungs, and eyes.
3. Drug-Induced: Lupus that is temporary & caused by prescription medications.
4. Neonatal: Lupus passed to a newborn from the mother.
5. Childhood Lupus: Lupus that affects children.

I have been diagnosed with: Number 2.
Systemic Lupus Erythematosus

Many chronic illnesses, like Lupus an Auto-Immune Disease, are often not visible to an onlooker; thus the term "invisible illness"! Those of us with invisible disabilities have some of the following most common symptoms such as: (which are the same for men and women)

Extreme fatigue (tiredness)
Headaches
Painful or swollen joints
Fevers
Anemia (low numbers of red blood cells or hemoglobin or low total blood volume)
Swelling (edema) in feet, legs, hands and/or around eyes
Pain in chest on deep breathing (pleurisy)
Butterfly-shaped rash across cheeks and nose
Sun or light-sensitivity (photosensitivity)
Hair Loss
Abnormal blood clotting
Fingers turning white and/or blue when cold (Raynaud's phenomenon)
Mouth or nose ulcers
Joints that are being destroyed, chipping away causing nerve damage.

I am currently experiencing the symptoms in brown along with many more and I have had the symptoms in purple in the past.

Many of these symptoms occur in other illnesses. In fact, Lupus is sometimes called "the great imitator" because its symptoms are often like the symptoms of Rheumatoid Arthritis (or RA), Blood Disorders, Fibromyalgia, Diabetes, Thyroid Problems, Lyme Disease and a number of Heart, Lung, Muscle and Bone Diseases.

REMEMBER: You plan an important role in helping your doctor manage your disease. Listen to your body and ask questions! Stay involved in your symptoms, treatments and medications!

Make Us A Praying People Lord Jesus!

Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. James 4:8

A man was circling the block searching for a parking space. Finally, after the third time around he decides to pray: "Dear God, if you help me find a parking space, I will go to church every Sunday and I will tithe a tenth of my income. Amen." Suddenly, a spot opens up and the man says: "Never mind God, I found one!"

The New Year has begun, "It's time to evaluate ourselves and draw near once again, endearing ourselves to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, releasing ourselves... from ourselves through prayer!!

Prayer is the Engine that drives any church! And, as quoted above by Charles Spurgeon, "A Prayerful Church is a Powerful Church! "Do you believe that?" I do!

As a child, I remember the Wednesday night Prayer and Bible Study, more often than not it was a reading of a chapter in the Bible and then right to prayer service where an hour or so was spent at the altar.

Today, there are very few churches that have a time for "prayer meetings" and by that I mean, a meeting that is devoted just to prayer! This might just be one of the causes of the "Spiritual apathy" that we have in our churches today!

For those of us who do not have prayer meetings in our church, it might be a good idea to pray about just that and ask God about what we need to do about it! Beware though, because one of the greatest ploys, and tactics of the enemy... for not having prayer meetings, is the immediate thought that "Nobody will come"!!

This alone, tells us a lot about the spiritual temperature of our churches, it is also a very relative and revealing factor in the church today. I've often wondered, why is it that nobody has a hunger for the Lord our God??

Still, we cannot curse the darkness, instead we have to light a candle!

We need to ask ourselves, "What is the solution"? The point is to start a meeting time that is a a good time for everyone, where people can get serious about calling on God?

However, what happens when the pastor does start a meeting time and no one comes? Pretty soon the meetings die out because no one attends! And, now we have to realize... there is serious work that needs to be done.

It has been suggested... that maybe we can change up the Sunday service, just a bit?? Have a little less singing and a bit less preaching and maybe more time given to prayer in an altar call.

Okay, so what is an altar call, it's just the calling of God's people forward to wait and pray, very simply put it's a "Mini Prayer Meeting"! Oh, but people may think they have to spend two hours with God in prayer to really get serious. NO, they don't! With that thought pattern your "Mini Prayer Meeting" will go absolutely nowhere!!

So, you meet people where they are! Jesus met the people where they were when he spoke to them in parables. We also have to meet our people where they are and slowly take them to the next step that God desires to bring them to.

It might be the cold hard fact that people aren't serious about God... so, now what do we do?? We don't just stand there and say, "Well, the whole world is going to hell in a hand basket" and nothing is going to change that.

That may very well wreak as self righteousness and spiritual pride in anyone interested in a serious, prayerful relationship with God! A shortened Sunday of singing and a sermon might just be the answer to seeking the Lord.

And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:13

And, as God starts answering prayers and a "Spirit of Prayer" comes upon the people, just remember that prayer is really a Spirit of Prayer! Because, without the Holy Spirit, we can't truly pray!

...For we know not how to pray (We, Paul is including himself here... he who wrote so much of the New Testament says...) we, I Paul don't know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Romans 8:26

We don't have the fervency, we don't have the faith, and we don't have the utterance that we need... so we NEED the Holy Spirit and that doesn't come in just one altar call! We have to look to God and learn to wait on God! And, we have to know the needs of the people and this world!

I believe that many... right in our own pews are hurting and need our prayers!!

What a good reason to bring the element of prayer into our Sunday services, for God's house is not called a house of singing, nor a house of teaching, not even a house of preaching, God's house is called a "House of Prayer"!

And, he taught, saying unto them, "Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? But ye have made it a den of thieves. Mark 11:17

How in the world do we have a "New Testament Meeting" without a strong element of prayer?? I immediately think of the book of Acts, but a more specific verse in the Bible that comes to my mind, clearly states one of the many purposes of Jesus Christs coming is to: "Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:16

How is it we have these insipid Sunday Services?? These kind of meetings have been developing with just a reading, a few announcements, songs and lectures that are very similar to the Mormon way of teachings. Then a praise God, an amen and we go home and not one of us has changed... simply because no one has made contact with God!

There is a great challenge to be made by today's church and for us to be led by God Almighty... because there is no perfect formula other than getting down on our knees... and, only we can decide if we have the desire within us to do just that!

While God has to show each man his own way, God is also revealing the temperature of your churches! It isn't meant to belittle us, it's meant to take us to the next level, from "Faith to Faith" and from "Glory to Glory"!!

It may not happen overnight, simply because our churches haven't become this way overnight! Still, we have to start moving in the right direction if we want real change!

I remember the old gospel chorus:

"It doesn't matter where you come from but it counts where you're going... Are You Headed in the Right Direction???

It doesn't matter where you have been, but it counts where you will be... When it's over will you be in Heaven???

God's not impressed by the way you dress, or what you've done or where your from but, only if you'll live for Him!

It doesn't matter where you come from, but it counts where you're going... Are you headed in the right direction!!"

One more thing to remember and ponder: It is so important to sing songs with the name of Jesus, the Cross where the blood of Jesus was shed and songs with the Holy Spirit in them! Remember that the most powerful name, that name that makes the enemy, and the demons tremble... are the songs with the name of Jesus in them!

Friends, we need more of Jesus in our lives and in our churches... especially in these days of self, self reliance, and self gratification!!! Why don't we make our "Parking Spot" at the altar of prayer??

How Exactly... Do We Put Our Trust In GOD...???

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil. Proverbs 3:5-7

After I posted a status on my Facebook page several friends messaged me and asked, "How do I put my trust in God? What precisely should I do?" (I posted the Facebook status in question at the end of this blog)

I find the verses above to be a great "teaching passage" on how anyone can begin to learn the process of "Putting Their Trust In God"!! Above all..."TRUST IS A MUST"!! And, the verses above, give us six steps we can follow:

1. First, it tells us to trust "with all thine heart," for me... this is best compared with loving someone from the bottom of our hearts! Try to remember your first love, or your immediate family members, your spouse or the birth of your children??? You are not likely to forget anyone that has loved you wholeheartedly and unconditionally. God's love is similar, but even greater than that, His Word States: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16

2. The second is, "lean not unto thine own understanding," here we need to learn that it's not up to us to analyze, inspect, interpret or resolve anything with our own thought process! God's ways are not our way of thinking! God's Word says: For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. Isaiah 55:8-9

3. Thirdly, "In ALL thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy paths," again this says to me that we must totally recognize God's authority in EVERYTHING we say, EVERYTHING we do, and even EVERYWHERE we go!! We learn to give God the green light in our lives... lock, stock and barrel, the whole nine yards and the whole enchilada now belong to the Lord!! These two verses say it all: I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh, I live by faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. Galatians 2:20 John the Baptist said it best: "He must increase, but I must decrease. John 3:30

4. Next, "Be not wise in thine own eyes," once again our ways, and our thoughts are not God's way of thinking! His Word Clearly Says: But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
James 3:17 We can't even begin to imagine the wisdom of our God, but as we learn from Him, life becomes more easily lived and trust is more easily attained!

5. Continuing, "fear the Lord" I learned long ago that having a fear of the Lord is actually us developing a reverence, a respect, an awe and a true devotion to our Lord Jesus Christ! We never have to be afraid of approaching God in praise, worship or prayer, He will ALWAYS be there for us! God is consistently ready to instruct us in all of our ways!! The Bible says, The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction. Proverbs 1:7

6. Finally, I think we can all agree that as Christians "WE NEED TO DEPART FROM EVIL", actually we need to RUN FROM EVIL, IT'S NOW TIME TO BREAK FREE from earthly amusements, enjoyment, thrills and pleasures! Here God's Word is, very simply but strongly stated; Abstain from all appearance of evil. 1 Thessalonians 5:22 Learn to never allow yourself to restrain or prevent the Holy Spirit from working in your life by engaging in evil activities. Learn to never be deceived or fooled by the enemies lies and tricks, make sure that everything you do is for the GLORY OF GOD!! It's time to get rid of anything in your life that is corrupted and polluted by the things of the world.

One more thing, KEEP YOUR EYES ON JESUS and remember that HE IS IN CONTROL of EVERYTHING, especially the things that you and I have no control over!!

I'm so thankful for God's Holy Word! You see, Psalm 56:3 plainly tells us: When I am afraid, I will trust in thee.

This verse clearly tells us, that there are times when "Fear Strikes" even Christians!

So, when "fear strikes us"... and the "Battle is On... KNOW that our Bible also gives us the "Perfect Battle Plan"!

God's Word tells us EXACTLY what to do! We are told to "PUT OUR TRUST IN HIM"!!

And, God's Word assures us that we can WIN THE BATTLE OF FEAR BECAUSE, 2 Timothy 1:7 clearly states: For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love and of a sound mind.

FEAR is a lie, a trick from the Enemy!

When we learn to PUT OUR TRUST IN GOD... we will conquer fear... and we will know the power, the love and the sound mind, that God has given to each of us who will PUT OUR TRUST IN HIM!

The "Church in General" has and is... failing this world! We have grown complacent, with a mediocre attitude in our relationship with Christ Jesus!

When Jesus rose from the grave and after He ascended into heaven, He gave us the most powerful support & assistance we need to help us "rise above" our daily problems by giving us His Holy Spirit!

He also gave us "His Holy Word..." which is a blueprint or map of how to live in this world that is so full of pain and sin. Thru Christ Jesus, "His Holy Spirit" and "His Holy Word," we have the power, ability and the authority to change this world and its problems.

We as a church have to "wake up, repent and go back to our first love of Jesus" in order to "Be the church, Jesus Christ intended us to be!" I am so ready for REVIVAL, not just for myself but, in the church also! I want so much more of God and what He has for me and YOU!!!
