The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn; to appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified.
ISAIAH 61:1-3
There is good news, my friends! Good news for the people experiencing poverty, the healing of those who have broken hearts, and freedom to all captives, even those who are not behind bars but are caught in prisons of their past! God wants you to know there is a year of God's Grace that will comfort those mourning, and there is care for the needs of those in mourning. God has bouquets instead of the ashes some of you live in. There is JOY for those of us who have lived in the ashes of our pasts, and there is praise to be given to our Lord that the spirit of heaviness might no longer have a hold on us!
I can say this not only because I believe every Word from God but because He has rescued me time and time again. I was living within the prison of mind from those who had abused me in my youth. I was a captive with no way out... or so I thought. But God has rescued me and given me JOY UNSPEAKABLE!! It doesn't mean that I live every day as likened to a bed of roses... but I have a new life in Jesus, and I have found HE is everything and more that I need!! I don't have religion; I have JESUS in my heart and daily life!
I may struggle with my emotions at times, and I have difficulty with my auto-immune diseases on many days. Still, I have Jesus, and He is more than enough for me because He has given me hope for the future, for I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. Romans 8:18 I consider that my current pain and difficulties are not nearly worth examining in contrast to what is ahead of me!! Someday, I will be in GLORY with my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!!

WHY SUFFERING??
For I reckon that the sufferings of this present
time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
Romans 8:18
CAN YOU SAY AMEN!??
For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day. 2 Timothy 1:12
This must have been one of Paul's saddest times in life, he is in prison with no hope of freedom. He has devoted his life to the Gospel that is now under undergoing severe persecution and he is also experiencing rejection, and he believes everyone in Asia has turned their back on him. Still, Paul continued to persevere, in beatings and in prison, Paul never gave up!!
But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God. Acts 20:24
