Each and everyone of us have experienced disappointment at some point in our lives, setbacks that can leave us sad and hurting emotionally. There are also those among us who have had or will suffer significant events that can lead to further hopelessness and despair.
If we do not take hold of our "emotions" any of these mental state can soon lead us into a deeper and darker state of despondency, namely depression.
When the Israelite's left Pharaoh, they saw Moses and Aaron waiting to meet them. They quickly told Moses, "May God examine what you have done and let Him judge you, because you have made our lives worse, since you came into them"!
Now Moses had come to a crossroad in his life where he could either "give up or look up". If Moses decision was to give up we might never know what happened to the Israelite's, the fact iswe absolutely do know how God delivered His people!
Moses cast ALL of himself into the arms of the Lord God and said, "I serve an almighty God and while my understanding is limited, my God is on the throne and I will trust Him". Instead of wasting years of his life in a blackened depression, Moses took a leap of faith and turned everything over to God!
What will you do if your life hits a roadblock that leads you to a feeling of hopelessness or despair? Before you find yourself in hard times it's important to remember that you have a choice, you can either stagnate in your weariness or fully cast all of yourself into God's arms and trust Him completely.
Ask yourself, "Do I truly want to stay in one place, spinning out of control forever or do I want to trust Him as I move onward, knowing that our God is Almighty, and He absolutely has everything under control, so I will trust Him"!
We serve a loving God who is touched by our infirmities, and He is more than willing to work on our behalf, He is willing to lift us up and out of our doubts, our fears and our worries! Don't let the Devil keep you in bondage or steal your joy!
It is so important to trust the Lord our God, because mankind can easily feel mentally distressed and hurt! The spirit of anguish can linger until we feel nothing at all and than it becomes woven into our character where no one and nothing on this earth can get us over our miseries!
God alone brings life out of nothing, He alone produces resurrection and only He can call things into being that don't even exist!
When the Israelite's were mad at Moses and God, they no longer believed in God and never had any real joy! They spent 38 years... a lifetime in the wilderness, aggrieved, bitter and in the misery of rebellion, only to die separated from the God that loved them so much more than they could know!
Friends, I pray that you are never downtrodden or defeated, but no one can bypass pain while we are still here in these mortal bodies. Instead, I pray with ALL my heart that your walk with God grows stronger each and every day, so that when you do face hard times, you would be able to say, "My God is on His throne, I will trust Him fully and completely!"
