For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation. 2 CORINTHIANS 6:2 YOU CAN WALK FREELY IN JESUS TODAY I pray that you would be determined to be done with this world's captivity! No more rehearsing your failures or rehashing your critic's accusations, that are rooted in the enemy, Satan! It's time to remember God's love, His faithfulness, and His heart of affection for you. It's time to put all of your hope in the finished work of Jesus Christ! HE WILL LEAD YOU Show me thy ways, O Lord; teach me thy paths. Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day! PSALM 25:4-5 Allow Jesus to teach you so that you will understand His ways and learn how to follow Him. Let Him feed you daily from His Word; for He has given His own life to save you from your sins. THE LORD IS GOOD AND UPRIGHT May you put a flag in the ground this day and declare, "My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus blood and righteousness! You can rest fully in God's grace! You can rely on His love for you! You can break free from the bondage of other's opinions and walk free and full of faith this very day! NOW IS THE DAY OF SALVATION We do not know what tomorrow may bring; I've seen several young people killed in automobile accidents this year and I've known many who have died from Covid-19 unexpectedly... young or old we are not promised tomorrow!! Right now God is ready to welcome you. Today he is ready to save you and give you the love and acceptance you are looking for... could there be a better Christmas gift? I think not! YOU MUST DECIDE BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE All of humanity is stuck in a never ending cycle of sin. No matter how much we may want to stop, we cannot stop sinning on our own. Our sin separates us from God and sin has only one ending - death! For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. ROMANS 6:23 We're all acquainted with the verse; For God so loved the world that He gave us His only Son. JOHN 3:16 Jesus came to earth as a man, and laid down His life for us. His death on the cross paid for ALL our sins, and brings us His forgiveness. His ultimate sacrifice sets us free from the bondage of sin, and restores us to right relationship with God; our creator! He rose from the grave to life again and now reigns in heaven. He wants you to know Him and be with Him for all time! Without Christ Jesus our lives have a void, and although we try to fill that void with things... we cannot find real contentment until we allow the Savior, Jesus Christ into our lives. IT'S ALL UP TO YOU The ultimate price has been paid for everyone of us. It is the greatest gift that was ever given. Jesus paid the price for you and I! Have you received His gift? It does not happen automatically by going to church, or being a good person. It is up to you to believe and receive the amazing grace of Jesus Christ and it starts by declaring your belief in Him! All you have to do is open your heart and pray a simple, sincere prayer similar to this one; Dear Lord Jesus, I believe in you, I am very sorry for my sins, I want to turn from my life of sin, and live for you. Come into my heart and life, forgive me and cleanse me with the blood you shed on Calvary. I believe you died on the cross and rose from the grave to eternal life. I receive you now as my Savior and Lord. Fill me I pray with your Holy Spirit. Amen If you've prayed this prayer sincerely, you are now forgiven and restored to a right relationship with God. You have been born again! This is certainly not the end, but just a very new beginning! Pick up your Bible and start in the New Testament in the book of John, and learn about your new life in Christ Jesus! YOUR NEW LIFE If you have accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, I would love to hear from you and to help you get started on your new walk with Jesus! LUKE 2:11-14 THE CHRISTMAS STORY Wow! We've now gone through the story of Christmas and what Christmas truly means! We've learned from God's Word those wonderful Christmas characters who were involved in the birth of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We started with the lives of Zacharias and Elizabeth, Mary's cousin and the mother of John the Baptist and have ended with not only the birth of Jesus, but also with the presentation of Jesus in the temple and the treasured lives of both Simeon and Anna. THIS WAS AND IS GREATEST NEWS EVER TOLD Without the news of Christ's birth and what it means, not only back than... but today as well there would be no real reason to celebrate. However, this is the great news with the most important reason to not only celebrate and observe but to proclaim to the world: "A Savior... our Savior was born in Bethlehem!" God had set a world in motion through a very special young virgin girl, a rare and unique couple, bearing an extraordinary child, in a special place, at a most memorable time, for a very absolute, excellent, and valuable purpose! God out of His immense love for us sent His son Jesus with a message of authentic, active and living LOVE! SO, THIS IS CHRISTMAS Each Christmas is a reminder of God's boundless and enduring love for us and for the entire world. Christmas is a wonderful opportunity for each of us to join with God... in proclaiming the most profitable and priceless gift that this world has ever known or ever will know. The most precious gifts we can give to our family, our children, our friends, and those we don't even know, are gifts that announce and demonstrate God's Love and His gift of salvation through Jesus Christ's death on the cross! Every Christmas is a reminder of God's everlasting love for me, for you and for anyone that will believe and invite Jesus into their hearts and lives. THIS GREAT NEWS IS FOR WHOSOEVER WILL BELIEVE God's love is amply revealed in this well known verse. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. JOHN 3:16 God loves you and I so much that he sent Jesus with a message of love and as a believer, Christmas is a reminder of that love! The Bible tells us of a love only God could bestow upon us: Beloved let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loves is born of God, and knows God. He that loves not knows not God; for GOD IS LOVE. 1 JOHN 4:7-8 GOD LOVES US SO MUCH HE GAVE HIMSELF FOR US The Bible tells us very clearly that salvation cannot be earned through works. The Apostle Paul writes: "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. EPHESIANS 2:8-9 We can not earn nor do we deserve God's precious love, but we can receive it through the precious gift God sent one day... long ago... Jesus Christ! THE MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION IN LIFE The most important question you could ever ask yourself is; will you accept God's wondrous and marvelous gift? It is both as simple and profound as a genuine, heartfelt prayer, asking Jesus to forgive your sins and to enter into your life, so you can live your life for Him! Eventually, we will all answer to God when we meet Him face to face, either by death or when He returns for His children. You don't want to be "left behind" my friends, because eventually "every knee shall bow," before Him! For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God. ROMANS 14:11-12 THE QUESTION So, the question is, "Have you believed, have you received the "King of Kings" and the "Lord of Glory" into your life??" Christmas... when in the HEART of man, woman or child is the reason we can celebrate "Life In Christ Jesus" each and every day! BELOW: There is no sin that is so great that Jesus death and the blood he shed... can't forgive! Jesus Is Crucified for You and I BELOW: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God... ROMANS 3:23 MUSIC VIDEO Who Am I by: Casting Crowns Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation. ISAIAH 12:2 THE WORLD AND CHRISTMAS Were now talking about Christmas and how we as Believers can make Christmas more "Christ Centered" each and every year. We need to LIVE this or the world will never know The Lord, Our Savior! We need to make sure that JESUS is preeminent in ALL of our Christmas celebrations and activities. One of the reasons that is so important is... that the world seems to distract us by distorting the true message of Christmas. DISTRACTIONS AND DISTORTIONS The name of Jesus is seldom mentioned... instead we find that it is usually the holiday season with an emphasis on gift buying and gift giving. Merchandising and marketing have become so important, that it has taken the place of the festivity that use to be in the heart of individuals and families. THE GREAT EVENT Consider this great event called Christmas, this great event was God's greatest gift to the world -- the birth of Jesus Christ! We read about this "greatest gift ever given" in LUKE 1 & 2 and in MATTHEW. This great event brought "tidings of great joy" or the first news of the "Gospel of Jesus Christ" to all who would invite Him into their hearts and lives. A relationship with Our Lord Jesus Christ is the most wonderful fellowship we can have in this world! So you see, God has come to save me! I will trust and not be afraid, for the Lord is my strength and song; He is my salvation. BELOW: The Man and the Birds by: Paul Harvey - A Christmas Story BELOW: JOY TO THE WORLD A Special Music Video You'll Love Jesus came to earth on a mission from God; For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. JOHN 3:16 NO CONDEMNATION TO THOSE WHO BEIEVE No one who believes in Jesus has to fear condemnation, yet condemnation is already the reality for everyone who refuses to believe, simply because they reject the name of the only Son of God. Why does God allow for judgement and condemnation? Because the Light, sent from God, pierced through the darkness to expose ill motive, hatred, gossip, greed, violence, and the like. Still some people preferred the darkness over the light simply because their actions were dark. Some of humankind still hate the light of God. They scamper hurriedly back into the darkness where vices thrive and wickedness flourishes. Still, there remains Hope and Light for everyone who will believe! HOPE FOR THE WORLD AND YOU Those who abandon deceit and embrace what is true, they will enter into the light where it will be clear that all their deeds come from God. Jesus makes the point very clear: stay connected to Him, and you will have no reason to fear. Jesus doesn't mean that at the instant someone has faith, fear simply vanishes or only good things happen in that person's life. In fact, the blessings that come with eternal life often have nothing to do with present or future circumstances, but they have everything to do with the individual's connections to God and others. This is John's message to his listeners. God came to earth embodied in flesh, and then He reached His greatest acclaim through a torturous death. Thus, believers will find strength and beauty in places they never imagined. Abiding in Jesus the Anointed is the most wonderful life you or I could embrace, regardless of our external circumstances. We just need to allow Jesus to "Pierce the darkness in our lives with His life and light!" Where are you living... in the darkness or in His Light? BELOW: JESUS EXPLAINS HIS MISSION TO NICODEMUS From: The Chosen (No Copyrights Intended-Used With Permission) BELOW: AMAZING GRACE Sung by: Whitley Phibbs Presented by: Bill & Gloria Gaither PLEASE NOTE: It has brought me great joy to hear from my readers and to learn that many of you are enjoying "The Christmas Story!" I want you all to know I've heard your request to continue the story on the weekdays so that you may finish the final touches of your Christmas plans with family and friends. Realizing that there are parties to attend, children's practices for their "Christmas Programs," at church and school... I did suspend The Christmas Story over the weekend. However, we have one more week before CHRISTMAS will be upon us, so let... The Christmas Story press onward! And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the grace of God was upon him. Now his parents went to Jerusalem every year at the feast of passover. And when he was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem after the custom of the feast. And when they had fulfilled the days, as they returned, the child Jesus tarried behind in Jerusalem; and Joseph and his mother knew not of it. But they, supposing him to have been in the company, went a day's journey; and they sought him among their kinsfolk and acquaintance. And when they found him not, they turned back again to Jerusalem, seeking him. And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions. And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers. And when they saw him, they were amazed: and his mother said unto him, Son, why hast thou thus dealt with us? behold, thy father and I have sought thee sorrowing. And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business? And they understood not the saying which he spake unto them. LUKE 2:40-50 JESUS, A YOUNG MAN Little is recorded about Jesus’ life between His birth and the age of 30. But this one episode tells so much. First, Jesus’ family life is a lot like anyone’s—full of mishaps and misunderstandings. Second, as Jesus enters young adulthood, He begins manifesting an extraordinary sense of identity. (Remember, a 12-year-old isn’t “just a kid” in Israel—he is becoming a man.) He isn’t just “Mary’s boy” or “Joseph’s stepson.” He has a direct relationship with God as His Father, and He knows His life will follow a path of working for God. JESUS ASTONISHES JEREUSALEM SCHOLARS Twelve sounds so grown up, especially when you are a Little Guy! But to us adults, 12 seems really young to be doing some of the things Jesus was doing at that age! The teachers at the Temple thought so too! They couldn’t believe it when Jesus discussed the scriptures with them in such detail, especially since He hadn’t had any formal training! Jesus was amazing in so many ways! He was at once completely human and completely God. This is demonstrated very tenderly in the story of Jesus in the Temple. Although Jesus already knew who He was (the Son of God) and was able to discuss the scriptures with the teachers, He was still obedient to his earthly parents, and was submissive to them.
