A young couple moved into a new neighborhood. The next morning while they were eating breakfast, the young wife sees her neighbor hanging the wash outside. "That laundry is not very clean; she doesn't know how to wash correctly. Perhaps she needs better laundry detergent!"
Her husband looked out, but he remained silent. However, every time her neighbor hangs her wash to dry, the young woman still makes the same comment, "That laundry is not very clean; she doesn't know how to wash correctly. Perhaps she needs better laundry detergent!"
One month later, the woman is shocked when she looks out, to see her neighbor has bright clean wash on her clothes line. She turns to her husband and says, "Look, she's finally learned how to wash her clothes correctly. I have to wonder if she changed her laundry detergent, or maybe someone finally taught her how!"
Finally, her husband calmly looked at his wife and says, "Dear, do you know why I got up very early this morning?" His wife swiftly answered, "No." Then her husband said, "I washed all of our windows."
And, so it is with life... What we see when we watch others, depends on the clarity of the window through which we look.
Friends, God's Word says, be careful about your complaints of each other. A greater complaint could be lodged against you, for a greater judge is just around the corner.
Patience, prayer and love will serve us and our neighbor, so much more!
