Lord God, "Please, Part the Waters!" And Moses said unto the people, "Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will show to you today: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen today, ye shall see them again no more forever." The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.
EXODUS 14:13-14
The Israelites were literally trapped... the sea in front of them... mountains around them and the army of the Egyptians chasing after them. What could they do?? Absolutely Nothing... that is until God stepped in and "parted the waters" for them to pass through on "dry land!"
Who of them really "expected those waters to part"?
May we come to the realization that there are some things that are completely, "Out of Our Hands!" May we also understand that there are only a few things we can absolutely and positively do an that is to: "PRAY, TRUST, and FEAR NOT"
says our God!
May we learn to stop manipulating, rushing around, trying, convincing, and scheming, so that we will know "God is in Control!" He is working behind the scenes, through the power of the Holy Spirit!
May we come to a place where God, "Hems us in" and there is no way out... so that we may see the deliverance of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! It's time to look upwards to our Redeemer!!
When God positions us... and we seem trapped in situations beyond our control, God says, "Fear Not! Stand still and see the Salvation, the Deliverance from our Lord!"
Three hundred and sixty five times the Bible--once for every day of the year says--"Fear Not," or it's equivalent. May we truly understand that, "The Lord is our helper. We need not fear what any man can try to do to us--or try to stop what God is doing for us!
When we come to the place of desperation, what does God want us to do? Number one, "Fear not!" God really wants us to come to the place of Dependence that we may learn there is nothing to fear, and He may say to us again, "Fear Not and Stand Still."
Just Stand Still? YES! For in that stillness, we will see deliverance and the miracles of our God, just as the Israelites saw God, "Part the Waters!"
Dear Lord Jesus, draw us so close to you that we will have No Fear... and there will be nothing to distract us from Your presence in our lives. When we're standing in front of the waters, when the mountains are all around us and the enemy is right behind us... Let us KNOW our Redeemer, Our Lord Jesus is getting ready to "Part the Waters" and we will walk out on dry land, in His Holy Power and Name! Amen.
