DO YOU WALK IN THE LIGHT OR IN THE DARKNESS?
Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I Am the light of the world: he that follows me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

DISTANT - UNREACHABLE?
One of the things that portray the theory of some about God is that He is far away, disinterested, and unattainable. Others may assert that God is just some intelligence or energy that brought forth the Creation of the Globe.
Since God is a remote force or intelligence, He is disconnected from humankind. Such a vantage point leaves a hopeless relinquishment in the world. We are left perplexed and stuck.
We can secure no help from God. We just have to do the finest that we can to manage our existence on our own.
HUMANISM & ATHEISM
Indeed, the theory of deists and secular humanists is just exactly that. We are completely on our own and there is no support from God.
This is also what atheists believe. What we have botched up we have to rectify all by ourselves, no matter how fruitless or impossible it may seem.
THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD
Into this despondency and desperation, there has come a light gleaming brightly in the darkness.
In Him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shined in the darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. JOHN 1:4-5 (KJV)
So as we do as John states in his letter, then you, too, will be full of joy, and so will we. This is the message God has given us to pass on to you: that God is LIGHT and in Him is no DARKNESS at all!
LIGHT OF LIFE
In Him was Life, and the Life was the Light of men. And the Light shines on in the darkness, for the darkness has never overpowered it [put it out or absorbed it or appropriated it, and is unreceptive to it].
JOHN 1:4-5 (AMP)
No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.
JOHN 1:18 (KJV)
No one has ever actually seen God, but of course, His only Son has, for He is the companion of the Father and has told us all about Him.
FROM GOD'S OWN HEART
So Jesus comes to bring to us from the very heart of God specifically what we need to completely experience the life God desires for us in a clear relationship with God the Father.
Know Jesus! You will know God. You will find an abundant life!
