1 Thessalonians 5:17
We are a generation of "hustle and bustle" keeping ourselves so engaged in the activities of this world that by the end of the day we are done and totally exhausted. Numerous Christians if truthful will admit they are not exempt and would also admit they are up against more than they can handle on their own.
So, I must ask what is your power source...?? What keeps you going... and how do you handle the pressures that this world imposes on you??
We never want the noise of this world to keep us from hearing the voice of God!
As Christians, learn to "prioritize..." arrange your lives so that there are... daily devotions, a reading of God's Word, and prayer time. If we are so absorbed in our daily schedules that we do not have time for these things, we are busier than God ever intended us to be!!
Clearly the day of our salvation is facing the "end times" and Christ's return. We need to be "alert and prepared" taking all the help we can get and using every weapon God has given us so that when it's all over we will be known as a good and faith-full servant!
God's Word is a crucial weapon and prayer is vitally important in the "spiritual warfare" we face on a daily basis! "Pray hard" and "pray long" keep your focus on our Lord Jesus and pray for your brothers and sisters in Christ!
Stand on the watchtower and look for those brothers and sisters who are falling behind in their walk with the Lord! Be an encouragement filled with the joyful affirmation... a help to all who cross your path!
Cry out to the Lord for those who have not heard the gospel or do not understand salvation! See that you are a true "sermon in shoes" as you go through your day!
God's Word has power... truth, righteousness, peace, faith, joy, to name a few, and they are more than just words. They are powerful and we need to know how to apply them to our lives, for we will need them for all of our time here on earth!
In the same way, "prayer is essential" for the ongoing battles that we all face! Make time to spend before the throne room of God and teach your children to make time for the Lord!
This is the day for all Christians to fall on our faces and repent! It is time for us to be all that God has called us to be!!
I tend to believe "to much of anything is good for nothing" however, there is never too much time reading God's Word or taking time to Pray!! Also, never be a "part-time Christian" demanding a "full-time God!!
