JUDGES 3:9
WAITING FOR RESCUE
On August 5, 2010, thirty-three Chilean miners were trapped deep within the San Jose copper mine. Their refuge was a 540-square foot room stocked with enough food and liquid to last a group of men forty-eight hours.
It took seventeen days for engineers to drill a hole big enough to supply the men with food, medical supplies, and other necessities. Imagination alone could never explain what these men went through nor could it be understood by someone who has never been that deep in a mine or by somebody like me who is very claustrophobic!
CRYING OUT TO GOD
Like the Israelites, those men and their families cried out to God for help. He provided the world's best drillers and a team of experts. The group rescued the trapped miners after sixty-nine
days of those men who could do nothing but wait, along with their families and friends.
When God's people earnestly, expectantly, and humbly cry out to Him for help, they can be sure He will come to their aid. It may be in the form of an instant miracle -- or the right doctor, teacher, counselor, pastor or friend.
I'm positive that the men in that mine had moments of doubts and fear because it was taking so long, but they had to come to the realization at some point that those trying to help were probably just as anxious to get the job done without losing anyone
BE STILL, WHILE YOU WAIT ON GOD
Whatever the case "we can trust God to rescue us in His own perfect way and in His own time!" Learning to "be still before the Lord" and "waiting patiently for answers from him" may be just as dreadful and frightening!
However, we cannot let our hearts, nor our minds be deceived by lies from the enemy! Childlike trust albeit sincere and simple is how God expects us to wait for answers from Him!
So "CRY OUT TO GOD, MAKE YOUR PLEAS KNOWN TO HIM EVERY DAY!" And, never stop trusting Him!
THINK YOU CAN'T MAKE IT - SOME DON'T
My friend, I live with pain every single day and there are some days when I think I cannot make it another moment! However, God has never forsaken me and He gives me the peace I need to walk the road that He has me traveling and "I know there is ALWAYS someone worse off than myself!"
Whatever you are crying out to God for, you must believe that no matter how long it may take -- He will see you through!!
