Lord, I will wait...
These are words that are foreign to most of us. We live in a world of instant enjoyment and gratification.
Still, if we think about it... God set our lives out on a journey... not a quick trip. He wants us to engage and see the world as He does. Why else would He have created the beautiful artistries that are all around us??
Flowers are not meant to just be seen: God wants us to "take our time" wait for just a moment, to breath in their fragrance. We ought to have occasion to run barefoot on grass, swim in the river or lake, inhale fresh air and listen for the warble of the birds!
In a swift and rapid world, God wants us to wait a moment or two and stand on the beach, taste the salty smell of the wind that comes from the ocean, to hear the splashing waves and feel the grainy sands beneath our feet.
As we wait, God strengthens us, He teaches us patience and He builds us up! Yes, as we wait on God, He prepares us and makes our journey attainable!
Lord make us willing to wait on you!
