The Heavenly Warrior Defeats the Beast
I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice, he judges and wages war. His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns.
He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself. He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the WORD OF GOD.
The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean. Coming out of his mouth is a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations.
"He will rule them with an iron scepter."
He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty. On his robe and on his thigh he has his name written:
King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
Revelation 19:11-16 (NIV)
Jesus Christ, the Ultimate Warrior!
And, He has called forth His children, His bride to be warriors and to have a warrior's heart. Warrior's are not born, and being a warrior does not come naturally to most of us. It is a decision a choice we make to be "Soldiers, Warriors for Christ"!
Early on in the Bible, we find the first mention of the Lord as a warrior. "The Lord is a warrior; the Lord is his name."
Exodus 15:3 (NIV)
We are in a battle, specifically a "Spiritual Battle" that is not of flesh and blood, but of the Kingdom of God (Psalm 45:6), the Kingdom of Heaven (Matthew 19:14) and Satan's Kingdom of Darkness (Matthew 12:26)!
And, the enemy is evil, seeking to destroy and kill anyone that is not of his kingdom of darkness! He is the greatest enemy we can imagine, and he is not fought with conventional weapons.
The Word of God States:
When a strong man armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace: But when a stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armor wherein he trusted, and divides his spoils.
Luke 11:21-22 (KJV)
Satan is an enemy of Christians, the enemy of lost souls, he is our greatest adversary, not only of the lost, but he is out to steal, kill or destroy every Christian from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
How does he go about his business?? He starts by leading people into sin and making them feel the heavy weight of guilt because he is eager to have the justice of God fall upon his people in the same way it will fall upon him!
His days are numbered and he knows it, Revelation tells us that his wrath is great because he knows his time is short. He is going to hell one day, but in the mean time he wants to bruise and take as many casualties as possible. Particularly, those whose sins have been washed in the blood of Jesus! This is is aim and his goal while there is yet time!
The Bible States:
And, we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness. 1 John 5:19
Yet, one day Jesus will return as a warrior, yes, He is coming back and this time He will be riding a white horse, wearing a blood-stained robe, prominently positioned as He leads His powerhouse, His most dynamic army of Warriors!
We are called to be Soldiers, Warriors for Christ's sake!
Each and every great man that God used in the Bible was a warrior!
So, you ask, "Who are God's Warriors?
1. God's Warriors are hard-core, fervently devoted and in love with their Savior, Jesus Christ and His work on the cross!
2. God's Warriors KNOW and RECOGNIZE the Seriousness of putting on the "Armor of Christ" on a daily basis!
3. God's Warriors are impassioned with "His Holy Word and most importantly "Prayer Warriors and Intercessors!"
4. God's Warriors do not fight for victory, they fight from victory, the VICTORY of the CROSS of Jesus Christ!
5. God's Warriors understand and appreciate the saying:
"Feed Your Faith and Starve Your Doubts"
which perpetually reinforces and promotes the
"Renewing of the Warrior Spirit"!
6. God's Warriors are constantly and aggressively prepared for any battle to win wayward souls, who are lost in their rebellious lives and sinful nature!
Finally, as a "Warrior of God" we not only faithfully await and anticipate that glorious day when Christ returns for His children!
We as God's Warriors and with His ultimate training, will prepare for the greatest, most pinnacle battle of all! The day when we in the service of the "Army of Heaven" will follow our Savior, in full armor and take down our adversary, Satan and all his demons, once and for all eternity!
The most significant day when ruling with His iron scepter, Jesus Christ is declared the true and most mighty
"King of Kings and Lord of Lords"!!
