"My Way" was a popular song, sung by Frank Sinatra in 1969. The lyrics of the song picture a dying man, facing the "final curtain of life"... and as he looks back upon his life, he decides that he is very satisfied with the way he chose to live and lad he did it "his way." He states that he has regrets but they are too few to mention.. and on the song goes.
There is a "way of life" that looks innocent enough... a way that seems harmless to so many of us. Nonetheless this way... or our way... will always lead us straight into hell. It appears to be a good life... it captures what we believe to be "cool"... or "with it"... it is sensational... and it begs our attention... but it is not God's way. Yes, the world seems to be having a good time... but all that laughter... all that fun... will end in heartbreak and it will always end in death.
There is another way... a way that God designed for each of us. When we walk in the path God has planned... we will always find everything we thought we would not have. We will find true joy... undeniable peace... and pure love.
A love that never gives up... A Love that cares more for others than for self... A Love that doesn’t want what it doesn’t have... a Love that doesn’t strut... Doesn’t have a swelled head... Doesn’t force itself on others... Isn’t always “me first,”... Doesn’t fly off the handle... Doesn’t keep score of the sins of others... Doesn’t revel when others grovel... Takes pleasure in the flowering of truth... Puts up with anything... Trusts God always... Always looks for the best.. It Never looks back... But keeps going to the end.

The Way of Love... that is designed by God will never die... it will lead us to eternal life. We may not see our way clearly now, but when God is leading... we can trust that He will be with us the entire journey. We just need to believe in Him fully, hope in Him always without deviation, and LOVE EXTRAVAGANTLY... LOVE ABUNDANTLY... LOVE READILY... and LOVE LIBERALLY... for this is truly "the way of love!"
