Isaiah 55:8
Every soul that truly loves God, will have his or her trials in this world fully recompensed or paid back in the heavenly world that awaits us and where God's love is made perfect! I am learning that it is not every man who suffers, that is blessed; but it is he or she who has the willingness to endure and the perseverance to go through all the difficulties in the way of "duty."
I would love to have God remove my pain one day, but I am learning to pray for the "strength to endure" it and the "grace to benefit" from it. I also pray for the "willingness to let God use it," however He sees fit that it would bring "GLORY - HONOR & PRAISE" to Him and His Kingdom above.
God's Word promises, "That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perishes, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise, honor and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ; whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see Him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls." 1 Peter 1:7-9
Wow!! No matter what we have to suffer, no matter what trial or aggravation that we go through here... the pure gold that is put into the fire comes out as "proven pure gold," just as genuine faith put through our afflictions will come out as "proven faith!"
Jesus puts it all together, in that it is our faith, that God will have on display as evidence of His Victory!! We have not seen Him, still we love Him, we trust Him and one day we will reign with Him in Heaven!!
Afflictions, are designed to draw out our graces, not our faults and corruptions! So, I would exhort you to "keep believing, keep praising, and keep striving..." as we are well on the pathway to Heaven when our lives are "sold out to Christ Jesus" our Lord and Savior!!
There is no comparison between what we are going through and the joy that is coming!!(see Romans 8:18) I pray that our joyful anticipation of what will be... will deepen with every day as we face our trials here on earth, head on!
Souls sold out to God can fully trust His ways!!
