1 Peter 5:8
Three Bulls and a Lion
Three bulls pastured together for a very long time, while a lion lay in hiding, hoping to make one of them his prey. Howerver, he was afraid to attack them while they were with each other.
So, one by one he lured them away from each other. He whispered to the first bull, "There is better grass over here." So the bull wandered away to the other side.
Then he quietly muttered to another bull, "There is more shade in that corner." The bull saw a large tree and thought it must be so. He quietly sauntered over and lay beneath the old oak tree where it was cooler.
Now, the last bull was so busy grazing he hadn't noticed that his other two friends were no longer with him. He looked up to see only the lion. The lion, in a very low voice said, "There are fewer flies on that side of the pasture." The bull turned his away to walk to the other side of the field -- and that was his demise.
Having separated all three bulls, with his sneaky lies, the lion was now able to attack them without fear -- as they all fed alone. The lion feasted on them one by one at his own leisure.
My friend, there is one who is seeking you and his name is Satan. He searches and hunts for your soul and he waits until you are unaware. We must be vigilant and alert at all times. Satan is poised and ready to pounce and would love to take hold of you... should you be napping.
You must hold firmly to your faith in Christ Jesus -- any suffering here on earth will not last forever. Hard times are just that, they are "mere moments" in our lives and then we will live eternally with God! Keep your guard up!!
God's Word tells us to stand with each other -- (James 5:16) confessing our faults and praying for one another so that we can live together fully and totally. This will then bring healing and God's love will bind us one to another.
So stand firm in the faith and in our Lord Jesus!! Learn to get along and to love one another as Christ intended!
Our Lord has generous and glorious plans for us. Ageless and unending plans that are forever in Christ Jesus. We will live eternally with Him who has saved us!!
