is risen upon thee.
ISAIAH 60:1
LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE
(4) The purpose of separation is that we, as God's People, might;
(a) persevere in faith (See: 1 TIMOTHY 1:19, 6:10 & 20-21).
(b) Love God with an undivided heart (See: MATTHEW 22:37;
2 CORINTHIANS 6:16-18).
(c) be light in a dark, unbelieving world, testifying about the truth and blessings of the gospel.
(See: JOHN 17:21; 2:15).
But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should show forth the
praises of him who hath called you out of darkness
into his marvellous light...
1 PETER 2:9a
REWARDS OR LOSS
(5) If we separate ourselves properly, God Himself rewards us by drawing near with His protection, blessing, and fatherly care. He promises to be everything that a good
Father should be.
He will be our counselor and guide; He will love and cherish us as His own children (See: I 2 CORINTHIANS 6:16-18).
(6) The refusal of believers to separate themselves from evil will inevitably result in the loss of fellowship with God, of acceptance by the Father (2 CORINTHIANS 6:17), and of our rights as children; (2 CORINTHIANS 6:18).
TODAY: Remember we are just traveling through this world, we are not trying to "FIT IN" to this world!!
