I Choose to Rest In Jesus' Arms! Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28
Are your days filled with unrest? Do you wake up in the morning and think about your problems and wonder how you will make it through the day? Is your heart full of anxiety before you even get up and out of bed?
Have you forgotten whose child you are and that Jesus is bidding you to come to Him, for He is with you now and forever. When we let our trials and testings spin over and over in our mind -- we allow ourselves to experience them repeatedly.
However, God's Word says something different from how we handle the cares of this world. We are to "COME TO HIM!" Jesus' gracious invitation comes to all "who are weary and burdened" with the troubles of life.
By coming to Jesus, becoming his servant and obeying His direction, he will free you from your insurmountable burdens and give you the rest you so desire. He will give you peace for the day and He will give you His Holy Spirit to guide you through daily life!
God's Word promises us this, "I Will Be With You!" See, Joshua 1:5 God's primary promise to Joshua - "I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you" is, in like manner God's commitment to all believers in the struggles of their faith.
God's abiding presence with us, is now a reality through His Son, and the gift of the Holy Spirit. The first step to peace is to accept and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. To experience peace requires that we be united with Christ in active faith.
When we do these things, we are justified through faith and so have peace with God. See Romans 5:1 Justification through faith brings the believer in Christ Jesus various results: peace with God, grace, hope, assurance, the love of God, the Holy Spirit, salvation from wrath, reconciliation to God, salvation, and joy in our daily lives!
So my friend, you must choose: wake up daily reliving all your troubles or wake up and letting God handle all that would steal your peace and joy in Him!
I choose the latter and I am resting in my Savior's arms! What about you?
