heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be
called thy son. But the father said to his servants, "Bring
forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his
hand, and shoes on his feet: And bring hither the fat calf,
and kill it, and let us eat, and be merry: For this my son
was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found.
And they began to be merry.

RECLAIMING OUR PRODIGAL SONS AND DAUGHTERS!
Do You have a prodigal child, or an unsaved loved one? If you do this series will show you stories from both sides and it will give you the "KEY'S" to rescuing your loved one... be they
your child, your grandchild or any unsaved loved one!
LETS RECLAIM OUR LOVED ONES FOR CHRIST!
A PASTOR'S TRUE LIFE STORY
In 1994 at a conference in Denton, Texas, Pastor James Ryle told his life story. Below is the condensed version:
When James was two-years-old, his father was sent to prison. When he was seven, authorities placed him in an orphanage. At 19 years of age, James had a car wreck that killed a friend.
James wound up selling drugs to raise money for his legal fees, and the law caught up to him. He was arrested, charged and sent to prison.
TWICE RECONCILED
While James was in his prison cell one day, he reconciled his life! He repented of his sins, and accepted Christ Jesus as his Lord and Savior.
After James served his time, he eventually went into the ministry. Years later he sought out his father to reconcile with him.
When they got together, the conversation turned to prison life. Jame's father asked, "Which prison were you in, son?"
James told him, and his father was taken aback. "I helped build that prison," he said. He had been a welder who went from place to place building penitentiaries.
TWO PRISONS
Pastor James Ryle concluded, "I was in the prison my father helped build."
Indeed! In more ways than one.
This amazing story, powerfully contrasts two possibilities. We can either build prisons for our children or through prayer build fruitful lives that will bless others.
SPIRITUAL WARFARE
We can and need to pray for our children. IT'S A MATTER OF "SPIRITUAL WARFARE" FOR THEIR LIVES! I've told of my own Spiritual Battle with prayers for my younger son, Jimmy. (I may just re-tell his story in this series)
The same stories could be told by millions of parents!
Change the names, a detail here and there, but the
bottom lines are the same: success or failure, life or death, fruitfulness or barrenness, bondage or freedom--resulting
from either praying parents or non-praying parents!
NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF A PRAYING PARENT!
HOW TO PRAY FOR OUR CHILDREN
Every Believer is called to a life of prayer. In fact, we are
called to be "on the lookout" or "watchmen and women" over
one another. How much more should we keep "watch" for
our own children whom the Lord has entrusted to us?
So, what do we pray for our wayward children:
- That Jesus Christ be formed in our children;
My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until
Christ be formed in you.
- That our children will be taught of the Lord and their
peace will be great;
And all thy children shall be taught of the Lord; and
great shall be the peace of thy children.
ISAIAH 54:13 - That our children, the seed of the righteous, will be delivered from the evil one;
Though hand join in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished: but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered. PROVERBS 11:21 ALSO; And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: for thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory for ever. Amen
MATTHEW 6:13 - That they will train themselves to discern good from evil and have a good conscience toward God.
But strong meat belongs to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. HEBREWS 5:14 ALSO;
The like figure where unto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ. 1 PETER 3:21 - That God's laws will be in their minds and on their hearts.
For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people...
HEBREWS 8:10 - That they will choose companions who are wise, not fools, nor sexually immoral, nor drunkards, nor idolaters, nor slanderers, nor swindlers.
He that walks with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.
PROVERBS 13:20 ALSO;
But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolator, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.
1 CORINTHIANS 5:11 - That they will remain sexually pure and keep themselves only for their spouse, asking God for His grace to keep such a commitment.
But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as become saints...
EPHESIANS 5:3 ALSO;
For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church. Nevertheless let everyone of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.
- That they will honor their parents.
thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise; That it may be well with thee, and thou may live long on the earth.
EPHESIANS 6:1-3
SPIRITUAL POWER IN SPIRITUAL WARFARE OF PRAYER
We have also been given the "serpent-killing" mantle that God is offering to each of us as parents. We must use God's authority and prayer over our children daily, if we want them to "Just Come Home!"

NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF A PRAYING PARENT!
