For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.
Isaiah 55:8
QUESTIONS FOR GOD...??
Whether or not we will concede, we've ALL had
questions that only God can Answer! Nevertheless,
what if we turn things around and ask:
MIGHT GOD HAVE QUESTIONS FOR US?
When this life has ended and we finally meet
God 'face to face' did you ever anticipate that God
might ask YOU or ME questions?? I have contemplated
this very crucial thought many times over
in my mind.
So, what may God ask me or you, how many questions
would He have for us... and the substantial inquiry:
how would WE answer Him??
I don't believe God will care about the
mundane; nor will He be impressed with our earthly possessions. No! He will most likely examine
and ask the tenacious questions!
SUCH AS...
"How many people have you
shared your earthly possessions with, especially
with those who had nothing at all??"
God won't concern Himself with what kind of car I drive...
ALTHOUGH...
He may ask me, "How many hospital patients,
shut-ins and nursing homes, did you visit?" Or...
"How many times did you use your vehicle to shop for
groceries, pick up a prescription or transport someone
to a doctors appointment?"
God won't despair over how spacious my home was...
NEVERTHELESS...
He may ask me, "How many times did you open
your doors for the homeless, for hospitality
or fellowship?"
God won't fancy Himself about the job that I held...
BE THAT AS IT MAY...
He may want to know, "Did you give your employer
100% of the time you owed him or did you take a few
extra moments on your breaks? Or did procrastinate by
taking more time than that which was actually needed
to finish a project??"
God may also ask me more personal questions...
WHEREAS...
He may ask, "Were you accessible when your elderly
parents needed you or did you assist your brother or
sister when they needed guidance or support?"
God may not ask me how many friends I had...
STILL...
He may ask me, "Were you a valuable friend? Where you
beneficial? Did you take time to have a personal interest
in those who considered you their friend? Did you take
advantage of them? Did you tare them down with
other friends or did you gossip about them falsely?
God may not ask me how I used my voice...
BUT...
He may ask me, "Were you a voice for those who could
not speak for themselves? Did you call out to those
who needed comfort in their mourning, or those
whose lives were devastated by illness or loss?"
God may not ask me the color of my skin...
YET...
He may ask me, "Did the color of your skin affect the
love in your heart? Were you ready, willing, and able to
touch those whose outward appearance was different than
yours?? Were you kindhearted to those who had
physical or mental diseases??
MY FRIENDS...
God doesn't care about the earthly things that are
of such great relevance to us here and now. He cares
that we love one another by caring, by being charitable,
and by being attentive to one another's needs.
By simply loving and caring about everyone we come into contact with, we are doing God's will!
We may not have to agree or condone everyone's lifestyle,
still, we must share the love that Jesus has placed in
our hearts. Holding back God's love is futile, it's
like holding back the waves in the ocean!!
I believe God is asking us right here and now to, share our
love today and every day with someone! It doesn't take
much to lend a hand, to keep a smile on our faces, to hold
a door open... loving is simply treating others the way
we would like to be treated!
LOOK TO GOD'S WORD
His Word clearly instructs us in the following:
Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God;
and every one that loveth is born of God and knoweth
God. He that loveth not, knoweth not God;
For GOD IS LOVE!
