I'm sure a number of you have heard the following quotes:
1. If mama ain't happy ~ ain't nobody happy!
2. A happy wife ~ makes for a happy life!
Being "happy" doesn't mean that everything in your life is perfect, it simply means YOU'VE CHOSEN to "look beyond" the imperfections!
Great effort use to go into the planning of my days, especially when my children were in school. There was an entire regimen I needed to adhere to, so that our days would go by calmly, peacefully and with order (and perfection).
I've learned that although I wanted our home
to run lovingly and smoothly...
I was not robotic in nature and
neither was my husband, nor my kids!
Unfortunately, I learned very late in life
that the only perfection in a family should be
LOVING Each Other and LOVING God!
These days when I hope to have certain things done, I am bound to see if my body is "up to it!"
The auto-immune diseases take their toll and
it seems they are progressively governing what I can and cannot do. Perfection is no longer a spotless home!
Lupus plays an immense part of what
I am capable of doing most days.
However, I have always held to the slogan,
"There is always someone who is worse off than me!"
Our house may never look like those in Home and Garden Magazine however, I am so very thankful to have a roof over our heads, and a place for our family & friends to gather.
We may not have big country breakfasts or steaks
on our plates everyday...
Still, there are countless families who
do not have any food in their cupboards,
while we have more
than enough to eat each day.
We do not have a large income or a bank account,
Nevertheless...
"Thank You Lord for supplying ALL our Needs and
even some of our desires!"
Please forgive our grumbling and complaining at times Lord, "You alone have provided us with
the Breath & Gift of Life!"
There are those who do not have the freedoms that we have, "Thank You Lord, because we have the freedom to
Openly Worship You!"
Please protect and bless those who have to
Worship You in Secret!
Remember:
At the end of the day, life is about being happy by:
"Being a Blessing to Others
and
Knowing Who You Are In Jesus!"
(we both know I'm not a picture of perfection)
SO, Find your Worth & Thanks in Jesus,
Nothing in this World can make us PERFECT!!
