Zechariah 4:6
What you are going through is not as important... as what the Spirit of God wants to do in and through you now!! But, truly, it's not by our might, nor by our power... But, "By My Spirit" says the Lord!
In the Hebrew - Might means: "An Army" and In the Greek - Power means: Force"!! As I prayed this morning the Lord spoke these words to my heart, "It is the Devil that is trying to steal your miracle, to destroy your finances, to kill your family and to bring ruin into the Church of Jesus Christ!!!
Your fears and your doubts are about the enemy's tactics and schemes! However, Our Lord is saying, "He is taking down Satan and his army of demons, He is removing the forces of evil that would steal the miraculous work of "His Own Spirit which is within you"!!
Whether you are facing illness, financial burdens, battles within your families, anything that would take your eyes off of Jesus Christ or His Holy Word is "A LIE STRAIGHT FROM HELL"!!! It is not by our might or by our power that we deal with these issues, it is by "MY SPIRIT, SAITH THE LORD"!!!
Get on your knees, start seeking the Lord with your "WHOLE HEART and YOU WILL FIND HIM!" He is as close as your prayers and He is willing to do by HIS POWER what we cannot do!!!
His Word States, "And, ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with ALL YOUR HEART". Jeremiah 29:13
Don't try to think of things you can do in your own might and power, over your illness, your finances, your family! You have no might or power that will fix the problems that lay before you!!!
Your very life is alive only and absolutely "By the Living and Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ our Lord!!" The enemy is trying to stand in your way as you run to finish the race that takes you into heavenly places!!
... 6. And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: 7. That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. Ephesians 2:6-7
So.... Why was Zerubbabel rebuilding the temple?
The Persian king had appointed Zerubbabel, governor of Judah and right away Zerubbabel began to rebuild the temple, with the help of Joshua, the high priest. Remember, the first temple that was built by King Solomon, had been destroyed by the Babylonians.
The foundation of the temple took Zerubbabel and Joshua two years to rebuild. And, then the schemes of the enemy, used the Samaritans ill will to oppose the rebuilding and construction of the temple. Persia withdrew their support and the temple sat unfinished, by the strategies and schemes of the enemy!
Oh, but this wasn't the end, God finally sent the prophet's Haggai and Zechariah to "encourage and support" Zerubbabel to resume his work and to finish the temple of God!! Four years later the temple was not only completed, it was committed, enthusiastic and dedicated to the Lord our God!
Certainly the Lord God appreciated Zerubbabel's efforts and actions in returning the captives to Jerusalem, by rebuilding the temple and therefore restoring worship! His Word states: And, when the builders laid the foundation of the temple of the Lord, they set the priests in their apparel with trumpets, and the Levites the sons of Asaph with cymbals, to praise the Lord, after the ordinance of David, King of Israel. Ezra 3:10
Haggai was then urged by God to give Zerubbabel a special blessing: "In that day, saith the Lord of hosts, will I take thee, O Zerubbabel, my servant, the son of Shealtiel, saith the Lord, and will make thee as a signet: for I have chosen thee," saith the Lord of hosts. Haggai 2:23
There were some Jews in Jerusalem who were disappointed to say the least, with the temple that Zerubbabel built. The older Jews remembered the magnificence and majesty of the first temple that Solomon had built and it seemed to them that what Zerubbabel had built was insignificant in comparison.
The truth was that Zerubbabel's temple was built on a much smaller scale and with fewer resources. The temple also was absent of the "Ark of the Covenant," which was no longer in Israel's possession.
While the first temple's dedication was lit by fire from heaven, and filled with the Shekinah Glory; Zerubbabel's second temple did not witness such miracles. However, Haggai did prophesy that the second temple would one day have a grandeur that would outshine the glory of the first temple!
This is God's Word:
3. Who is left among you that saw this house in her first glory? And, how do ye see it now? Is it not in your eyes in comparison of it as nothing? 4. Yet now be strong, O Zerubbabel, saith the Lord; and be strong, O Joshua, son of Josedech, the high priest; and be strong, all ye people of the land, saith the Lord, and work: for I am with you, saith the Lord of hosts: 5. According to the word that I covenanted with you when ye came out of Egypt, so my spirit remaineth among you: fear ye not. 6. For thus saith the Lord of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land; 7. And, I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the Lord of hosts. 8. The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the Lord of hosts. 9. The Glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the Lord of hosts: and in this place I will give peace, saith the Lord of hosts. Haggai 2:3-9
Haggai's word was fulfilled 500 years later when Jesus Christ appeared on the scene. (See: Luke 2:22, 2:46 KJV) And, although Zerubbabel's temple was not to all appearances as monumental or as notable as the first temple that Solomon had built, this second temple had a greater, more weightier glory: for Jesus Himself, our Messiah walked the courts of the temple that Zerubbabel had built!
I want you to know that God is working on your behalf to bring that miracle, that you need to fruition!! PRAY! SEEK the LORD YOUR GOD and see what He alone will do!!!
