PSALM 25:9
Have you ever tried to teach someone who acted as though they knew everything?? How frustrating is that!! Whether it is a child in the home, a brother or sister in a Sunday school class, or a student in a formal setting, a student must show one basic characteristic in order to learn successfully: humility.
David tess us that, because of His goodness, God is ready to teach us how to live (Good and upright is the Lord: therefore will he teach sinners in the way. Psalm 25:8). But there is one condition: humility.
While Godresists the arrogant, He bestows grace upon the meek and teachable; (But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble -JAMES 4:6). God's instruction is reserved for those who are open to submit to and follow His direction, however difficult it might be.
My question to you is: "How do you respond to God's instruction when it goes against what you think is best for yourself?" Your answer to this question will reveal if you are arrogant or teachable.
THOUGHT FOR TODAY: Lord help us to humble ourselves now and we will be taught in the way of the Lord.
