THE STORMS
OF LIFE
WITH OUR LORD
JESUS!
GREAT EXPECTATIONS
Expecting parents had finally finished the nursery for their first baby. There was a lovely crib, dressing table, clothing in the closet and in the car a brand new car seat was ready to bring their baby home.
Finally, the day came and they tucked their little girl into her car seat and drove her home. They held her, fed her, changed her diaper and eventually they laid her in the lovely pink bassinet to sleep.
SOMBER DOUBTS
Being new parents they gazed down at their baby girl who was sleeping so peacefully. Both had thoughts of how defenseless and helpless she was as a newborn, she was dependent on her parents to supply even her most basic needs.
After all, she had been born into a world of fears, violence, social upheaval and conflict. Would the years ahead of her be worse? Would her life be full of uncertainty, pain, and worries?
PEACE IN THE MIDST OF STORMS
Such big questions for such a small baby! However, despite all the uncertainties in her future, she was in a deep, peaceful sleep, quietly and safely resting without a care in this old world she was in.
We all face trials, adversity, suffering, and struggles in our lives every day. There are circumstances when concern turns to worries, and doubts turn to fears.
The world around us seems to churn in turmoil all around us, and our pertinent questions seem to go unanswered! For this world politics, religion, and social issues, all seem larger than life itself.
CHRIST JESUS MAKES THE DIFFERENCE
Still, as believers in Christ Jesus, we can rest securely, we can have peace of mind and we can calmly know that our Heavenly Father is watching over us every moment of the day! He cares for every need that we have, He loves us unconditionally and He will carry us through whatever we may face in this life.
JESUS brings us PEACE IN THE STORM!
Tonight when you lay your head upon your pillow... you can have complete assurance that our Lord will keep you perfectly safe, your mind can be at rest and peace! The day's end can have you ready for a sound sleep because God Himself is watching over you and me!
