And, He said to them all, "If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me."
LUKE 9:23
WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN YOU FACE
OBSTACLES IN YOUR LIFE
DECISIONS
One of the most important decisions that you will ever make in your life is "Do you genuinely want to give your life to the Lord Jesus Christ and follow Him daily?" No one can force
you nor can they decide for you -- it is solely your decision!!
It's a decision similar to marriage and should not be taken lightly because it is a "lifetime commitment." And Jesus tells us directly that if we intend to live for him, we are no longer in the driver's seat of life - "He is!"
WE NO LONGER WALK ALONE
As we live for Christ there will be mountain tops to climb where we will find peace and joy -- there will also be nose-dives into valleys of suffering and sorrows. The difference is that we will never be alone, Jesus will be there with us through "everything that we go through in this life" but there is "no short-cut" in our walk with him if we are to live a victorious life!
As we hold tightly to the Lord and His leading, we will find that no matter where we are, "Christ Jesus is right there with us." We can count on Him to rejoice with us in times of happiness and bliss as well as comfort us in times of grief and hardship!
NO SHORTCUTS
It is only when we attempt to "take back the steering wheel of life" that our times of difficulty will override our ability to stay on a safe and clear pathway with the Lord -- two can't drive a car at the same time. We must follow the Lord Jesus Christ if we truly want Him to show us how to embrace our heartaches, because there is absolutely, "NO SHORTCUT" through them!
I think you will know exactly what I mean when you look at the cartoon below:
Don't you want Jesus to walk with you everywhere??
You Decide!
OR
We can walk with Christ-following "His ways" knowing that He will be with us should we "fall, trip or even fail," fully knowing that Jesus understands our frailties and He will walk with us and He will never forsake us.
JUST REMEMBER
There are "NO SHORTCUTS!" We either trust Jesus to lead the way or we do things our way and fall flat on our faces!
I wonder where will you find yourself at the
"End of Our Road... Called Life?"
