I am a child of God, chosen by Him and adopted into the family of God. I have been purchased by the precious blood of Jesus Christ. I am blessed beyond measure and I am completely forgiven. I no longer live in condemnation. I live daily by faith to faith and glory to glory! I have peace in the calm and peace in the storm... peace that this world can not give. I have the joy of Jesus in all my circumstances! I have been born of God and satan can not touch me! I am free... I am loved!
Jesus is everything to me, He is all I could ever want or ask for. He is my comfort, my rock of salvation, my buckler, my strong tower, my sword and shield, my counselor, my shepherd and my friend. He saves and He keeps me, He satisfies my soul, and He is truly my everything.
Silver and Gold can not comfort me, they can not soothe my pain, increase my joy, nor heal my soul. What they can buy does not compare to the blessings I have in Christ Jesus.
Where else could I go... what else would satisfy me... and who would I be if I did not have Jesus? There is no place else to go... nothing else that could satisfy me... and I would still be living in sin. Now I am on my way to heaven, completely satisfied and I am but a sinner saved by His glorious grace! It is as simple as that... or as complicated as some would have you believe.
Yes, truly I'd rather have Jesus than silver or gold... and I do. He is alive and living in my heart. There is nothing that compares to my Jesus... nothing at all!
