In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. 1 THESSALONIANS 5:18
THANKS TO MOM
YOU'RE READY TO FACE THE
NO MONDAY MORNING BLUES, MOM!
To every woman with a family! The weekend may be over and Monday morning as you well know rolls around rather quickly! You will have to wake up early to make breakfast, prepare lunches, and get the kids off to school.
You may have to drive your husband to work so that you can go out later to pick up some groceries. And when you arrive home you see the house as it really is, because it needs a good cleaning!
FEELINGS COME AND GO... I'D SAY "JUST LET THEM GO!"
Sometimes you may feel unappreciated and thoughts run through your mind wondering if anyone understands the work that you do almost every day! The world may make you think you should be out there working for a paycheck.
Yet, there is something that is so much more important that you may come to realize "after the kids are grown and on their own!" They have been raised with love, they have seen you help them and they have seen you set a high priority in life!
WHAT IT TAKES TO RAISE A FAMILY!
You mom, have shown them what it takes to have a family that not only cares for one another, they also care about others! Yes, they have seen you clean house, make beds, wash clothes and cook!
However, they have also seen you care for the elderly when you volunteer at the local nursing home, they have seen you study to teach in Sunday School and they have seen you read your Bible and help teach them how to live.
You and your husband are giving them a foundation that will carry on past your days on this earth. And they will remember all the sacrifices you both have made to make sure their lives are on track as they grow up!
So, when Monday morning comes around, take a moment to say thanks to our Lord Jesus for the strength He has given you to do the things that make a family richer than anything this world could give them!!
THANKING GOD FOR EVERYTHING!
Lord Jesus, I just want to say, "Thank you for this sink of dirty dishes; for we have plenty to eat!"
Lord Jesus, I just want to say, "Thank you for this pile of dirty, smelly laundry; for we have plenty of nice clothes to wear!"
And Lord Jesus, I need to say, "Thank you for these unmade beds; for they are warm and they are comfortable every night. I know that many people have nowhere to lay their heads at night!"
Oh Lord Jesus, I have to say, "My many thanks to you for this bathroom, complete with all the splattered mirrors, soggy, grimy towels, and dirty lavatory; they are so convenient to all my family!"
Lord Jesus, I want to say, "Thank you for this finger-smudged refrigerator that needs defrosting so badly; it has served us faithfully for so many years. It is full of cold drinks and enough leftovers for two or three meals!"
Lord Jesus, I have to say, "Thank you for this oven that needs to be absolutely cleaned today; It has baked so many goodies for my family and friends over the years!"
Lord Jesus, "Our whole family is grateful for that tall grass that needs mowing, the lawn that needs raking; for we all enjoy our backyard. Thank you for that slamming screen door as it does its job for all of us!"
Lord Jesus, I must say, "Thank you for keeping my children healthy and able to run and play! And, Thank you for my husband who goes to work each and every day!"
GOD HAS BLESSED YOU & YOUR FAMILY
Lord, the presence of ALL these chores awaiting me says, "YOU have richly blessed my family! I will choose to do each of them cheerfully and I shall do them gratefully! And Lord, if my children or husband need me, I will help them, because
tomorrow is another day that I can do what needs to
