PSALM 50:23
WHEN GIVING THANKS SEEMS DIFFICULT
Giving "Thanks" is not invariably easy... you may have just lost your career... you may not have the cash to pay your bills... perhaps your marriage is on the rocks... or you may have just lost a loved one. These are not pleasant things to get through and gratitude just doesn't seem to fit the bill for peace and joy, especially in the holiday season!
HONORING CHRIST WITH GRATITUDE
Still, pure praise is a valuable sacrifice; that absolutely honors the Lord Jesus Christ. When we walk in His ways... Jesus will walk alongside us and we will obtain salvation from Him.
It is our "Praising in Life" that honors Christ and if we can keep our emotions "out of the way" and remain with the FACTS, God will carry us through. He desires ALL of us... 100% of the time!
HEARTACHE AND THANKSGIVING
There will be seasons when "thanksgiving is a sacrifice!" The tears may ebb... and our heartache will be genuine, but think of the joy in Christ's heart when we still look to Him in the midst of our sufferings.
At times like this our "Belief in God" is demonstrated and confirmed... it becomes distinctly evident and obvious. Note: I did not state it would be smooth sailing... however it shows the Lord that we are believing Him to walk with us... carry us and bring us through to inner peace and joy that only comes from Him... regardless of the way we feel.
OUR FOCAL POINT
Keep your focus... and your eyes concentrated on Jesus... He solely knows the extent of your desperation and He will never forsake you. We may not understand the whys" however that's where our faith and hope
come in to play!
Despite everything you may be facing there is comfort and joy to be found in our Savior if we keep our focal point on Him and not our circumstances! There is always "Thanks in Jesus" when we experience His care and His love for us!
JESUS WORKS ALL THINGS FOR OUR GOOD
His desire is to work ALL things out for our good and
although we can't see it... we need to train ourselves to
"KNOW THAT HE CARES FOR US!"
And, we know that all thing work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according
to His purpose. ROMANS 8:28
AS YOU GIVE THANKS IN YOUR HEARTACHE
A "sacrifice of thanksgiving" will flood our hearts and souls with inner peace and generate honor and glory to our Lord. He will use our gratitude for His honor and glory and for our absolute benefit and good!
As you attempt to "give thanks and trust Jesus," rest... yes I said, "REST IN HIS PROMISES!"
