Our last few weeks have been riddled with the "unexpected"! We've seen several main household appliances that have broken down, there have been workmen in the house, with severe thunderstorms causing sporadic electricity and internet connections, my habits and routine ways became completely discombobulated!
Days where it's so easy to ask, "Is it possible to have peace in this uncertain world"?? While we all know that there will be days when our normal habits and routines, will be interrupted... it's those "unexpected emergencies" that tend to overwhelm us!
On these days we not only experience the unknown, we often need to embrace them in order that we might get through them! Most of us just want to keep things under control, still I have to believe God would have us anticipate the unpredictable with a faith deeply rooted in His goodness, mercy and grace.
God wants us to know that He is in control, and there is no need for us to think or believe we need to be in command! These are the times where we can learn to move from worry to calmness, from fear to trust and from doubts to hope!
These desires and beliefs in God are able to bring us through any and all of the unthinkable at times!
As God teaches us new ways to manage setbacks and defeat, we begin to mature and to triumph on our new building blocks of faith! There is a fulfilling of our destinies to know God more completely as we prepare for what will happen next!
We can embrace "stepping into the unknown" simply because we know God knows everything already!! There is nothing in our lives that takes Him by surprise!
In the midst of our personal upheavals, financial stresses, family transitions, and chaotic worldly affairs, we can KNOW that God is with us: For it is God which worketh in you both to will and do of His good pleasure. Philippians 2:13 (KJV)
There is no need or expectation to take hold of. The realization to hear God and to trust Him is more than enough!
From the moment we wake in the morning until the lights go out at night, we can be assured that Jesus is at work changing us through His Word. It's time to be reminded of the Scriptures that helps us live more like Him each and every day!
