His desire was for the people to be knowledgeable concerning the benefits, the gifts God had provided by the way of the
Holy Spirit.
WHAT ARE SPIRITUAL GIFTS?
The Holy Spirit designates or imparts the gifts to each believer according to His divine wisdom and knowledge for what
is needed in the body of Christ Jesus. It is essential for the body of believers to have foresight and wisdom in the
making of decisions concerning their future.
When the body of Christ requires wisdom for future decisions
the Holy Spirit is the one that will provide it.
Now there are distinct spiritual gifts, given by the grace and extraordinary power of the Holy Spirit -- operating in each
believer, and it is the same Spirit that empowers every
follower of Christ Jesus.

The spiritual gifts distributed may vary within the congregations, but the Spirit provides exactly what is needed and at the exact and proper time.
The diversities of gifts, arise from the same God which works and empowers them all in every believer. The Holy Spirit by way of the gifts, displays the various aspects of God.
We are not to use any of the spiritual gifts boastfully or selfishly. And we are not to consider one gift as superior or more excellent than any other.
The manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man for the common good of all! The abilities and the empowering are brought about by one and the same Holy Spirit. To each individual He distributes them as He chooses!
The spiritual gifts are distributed throughout the congregation.
Whether it is faith, miracles or prophecies, the gifts of the Spirit display the very aspects of our God!
It is important to "stir up" our spiritual gifts! Don't neglect them or allow them to gather dust on the shelves of your heart! God has given us marvelous gifts and we need to use them to encourage one another!
We are called to "serve the Lord and His people" by using the
gifts of the Holy Spirit in humility and love!
