For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
ROMANS 10:13
TRANSFORMATION OF A
CLOWN
AND THE TRANSFORMING
BY THE RENEWING OF
YOUR MIND
BRING ON THE CLOWNS
Do you remember the first time you saw a clown? It may have been at a birthday party or when you went to a fair, I remember "Bozo the Clown" that had his television show, I'm dating myself now.
Do you remember how you felt?? Some people love clowns and others hate them because they are afraid of them.
Clowns are special people, they always want to bring joy and excitement into the lives they touch. Have you ever asked yourself about how the person behind the clown character became the clown you see?
Could I tell you how that change takes place and at the same time tell you about a change Jesus Christ can make in your life?
YOU MUST DECIDE
The person behind the clown you see, one day had to decide to be a clown and to learn what it takes to bo transform into the clown character. At the same time, for Jesus Christ to change or transform your life, you must decide to ask Him to do so.
The Bible states; That if thou shall confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in thine heart that God hath
raised Him from the dead, thou shall be saved. For
with the heart man believeth unto righteousness;
and with the mouth confession is made
unto salvation.
ROMANS 10:9-10
So you see, the decision is yours to make. You must decide to call on Jesus. No one can do that for you, it is a personal decision that rests totally with you. God will not
force Himself on anyone.
YOU WILL CHANGE
The person who decided to become a clown begins the transformation by applying the makeup. The makeup
hides his old face and allows him to put on a new one.
Clowns cover their entire face so no one can see the person
behind the makeup. They should see only the clown that has
been created.
As one who gives his or her life to Christ, you will change
also. You turn your back on the old life-style you have lived
and take on a new life in Jesus Christ.
ROMANS 12:2 States: And be not conformed to this world: but ye be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God. It may not happen all at once, but you will change.
YOU SHOULD TELL
Most clowns after they have covered their face with makeup
put a mouth on next. The clown uses his mouth to communicate his feelings. This can be done by
expression or by the voice that comes out of
his or her mouth.
That person who has given his life to Jesus Christ should also
tell others. The Bible commands us in Matthew that as we go we are to share with others.
YOU ARE UNIQUE
Each clown has his or her unique makeup. Some have large eyes, while others are small. Some have designs on their
face or cheeks, while others do not. The colors are different
and the accents are unique!
This reminds us that God has made each of us special and unique. All of us have special gifts and abilities that God has given us. You are "the only one of your kind" and that alone makes you special.
YOU WILL GROW
The clowns you see have developed or grown to look and act the way they are today. They have developed through the makeup, wigs, accessories and own their way.
This usually takes place over a some time and generally is never completed, they are continually growing into a very unique clown. Many have imitated "Bozo" but none have
come close to the Bozo I remember!
EPHESIANS 6:11 States: Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. We
continue to grow as a Believer through prayer, Bible study, and fellowship with other Christians.
YOU ARE JOY
In our world, the clown displays joy and brings that joy to all others. At the circus, he makes us laugh. At the birthday party, he entertains us. On the street, he attracts our
attention and causes us to stop and look.
The joy and excitement that is in the clown bring a time of joy to everyone around him. God's Word states: The thief comes not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come
that they might have life and that they might have it
more abundantly. JOHN 10:10
Jesus Christ came into this world and wants to come into your life so that you can have an abundant life of joy. Are you enjoying abundant living? That is what God desires for you!
SO, BRING ON THE CLOWNS
The next time you see a clown, I hope it will remind you of the change that took place in his or her creation. Then, let it remind you of the change that takes place in a person's life
when he gives his heart to Jesus!
AND IF YOU DON'T LIKE CLOWNS...
TRY JESUS HE IS THE SOURCE OF ALL LOVE!
