I am nobody special! Right now... I have a little strength and a whole lot of pain. There are times I am lonely and I struggle... I also complain at times... even though I know that is not of God. Yet... I am determined to walk with Jesus and to let Him use me... anyway He thinks best!
There were two men who went fishing. One man was an experienced fisherman, the other wasn't. Every time the experienced fisherman caught a big fish, he put it in his ice chest to keep it fresh. Whenever the inexperienced fisherman caught a big fish, he threw it back. The experienced fisherman watched this go on all day and finally got tired of seeing this man waste good fish. "Why do you keep throwing back all the big fish that you catch?" he finally asked. The inexperienced fisherman replied, "I only have a very small frying pan."
I have found that often I am just like that fisherman. I take the opportunities or the plans that God has placed in my life and I throw them back. Why? My faith is too small! Like the fisherman, who just needed a larger frying pan... I need to increase my faith!
Still... whatever seems impossible to us... when placed in God's hands... it becomes very possible! When I started this website... I lacked the money... the knowledge to run it and the strength that it would take each day. Yet God has directed me in every area that I lacked and He is giving me the daily strength to accomplish my goals. Yes, I did wonder if anyone would visit... I just left that and everything else in God's hands! Surprisingly... the stats show many visitors each day.
So... I would encourage you... whether you have a whole lot of something... or a little bit of anything... place it into God's hands. He can take your little bit of time... your little bit of money... your little bit of faith... and your little bit of love and.... make it a whole lot in His hands. We should never fix or direct our attention on what we lack... we must give all that we have to Jesus and see what He will do with it.
Whether it's a problem or a possibility, God will never give us anything bigger than we can handle. That means we can confidently walk into anything God brings our way! He loves us and He makes us special... by placing the "big fish" in our hands... then He watches to see what we will do with it! Will we keep it... or will we throw it back?
Nothing is too big for God! We need to stop telling God we have a big problem... and instead tell our problem that we have a big God!
