WHEN NOTHING SEEMS "NORMAL"
I've said it before and I have to say it again... 2020 has been a crazy year thus far. I've found that the things that are happening in our world are quite worrisome for some people. Many are concerned about any vaccine that may become available very soon.
The corona-virus has caused fear, loneliness and many questions. Fear has caused people to wonder whether or not they should wear a mask or not wear a mask. Fear has them asking is it safe for their children to go back to school or if they should go back to work.
HABAKKUK HAD QUESTIONS
Habakkuk expressed his frustration and his dismay at the way things were going in his beloved nation. Truly, it was God's nation, for he had called the Hebrews to Himself centuries ago.
Yet there is the conclusion Habakkuk comes to: "I will joy in the God of my salvation. God the Lord is my strength."
TRULY THE LORD IS OUR ANSWER
Here's where we must arrive: "The Lord is our strength and He will make our feet like hind's feet. He will make me to walk upon my high places. The Lord will take care of us!"
Habakkuk began by asking, "Why? Why, Lord, why?" God never did answer him why. He just said to Habakkuk, "I'm going to reveal WHO: It is Me. I am your strength. I will make you like a sure-footed gazelle, and you can live on your high places."
WHEN WE KNOW GOD AS LORD AND SAVIOR
If you're saved, if you know the Lord, it doesn't matter if gasoline goes to $5.00 a gallon or if Wall Street hits bottom. If you know the Lord Jesus Christ, it doesn't matter if they take away our homes or our cars.
What matters is that we have a God who will care for us! He is our strength and our shield. May we yield to His will for our lives.
The Bible says: "You can absolutely worship and rejoice in the Lord your God!" Remember God's greatness. Rejoice in God's goodness. Worship the Lord and rely on His grace for today and tomorrow!
We need to come to the same conclusion Habakkuk came to: "I will joy in the God of my salvation. God the Lord is my strength!"
