Wow... I didn't realize how long it's been since I've updated my blog. I been working on changing my website so that updates will be a little easier. For those of you who have emailed me wanting some updates... I want to "thank you" for being so patient with me.
James 4:14 Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.
When you get to be my age, you begin to realize how true this verse really is. I now realize that the years ahead of me... will be shorter than the years behind me. I have pondered this verse and these thoughts quite often lately. And... like many others I realize that hindsite is truly 20/20... and my mind thinks of all the things I could have and should have done differently. However, I can not linger very long on these thoughts.... if I want the years ahead of me... (Lord willing) to be as fruitful as they can be.
I want to leave a legacy... a heritage to my children, grandchildren and even my friends.
I want more than anything else.... for those who knew me... to know how much I loved my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To know... how He alone has and is taking me through this journey called life. Jesus has been my comfort, my peace and my joy. He has given me the strength I have needed to live in this world that is so anti-christ.
It has not been an easy life... in fact some of my younger days were pure hellish. I have
struggled and wrestled with my past.... and I can honestly say had it not been for the Lord Jesus... I may not even be here today. I want those of you who have been... and maybe those of you who are still struggling to know... life doesn't have to be sheer drudgery. You can get past abuse... molestation... hurts... and anything that this life has thrown your way. You can walk and live with a peace... that comes from only knowing Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Jesus gives a peace that this world does not know... and a peace that this world cannot give. Jesus said: Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14:27
So if you are struggling today... with maybe something you don't even have control of... Look to Jesus to be your strength and your help. He will give you peace in any situation...
you just have to yield your life to Him. He loves you more than you could ever realize and
