COLOSSIANS 2:6-7
PSALM 1:1,3 says, "Blessed is the man that walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful. He will be like a tree planted by the water, meditating upon His law day and night."
He will be like a tree along a riverbank bearing luscious fruit each season without fail. Their leaves shall never wither, and all they do shall prosper.
So who's the one who is most blessed? The one who trusts in the Lord.
And what's the characteristic of their life?
They're like a tree rooted in the waters. Do you want to be blessed and live a rooted life in all situations?
True peace doesn't come from your circumstances. It comes from being rooted in the Word, in God's love, in the unseen, in drawing life from the invisible, hidden river of God.
A stream of God is constantly moving, so you are to root yourself in the eternal river of God's love. Root your heart, mind, soul, emotions, and life in the waters of His love and mercies and by the sure hope of the Gospel.
Root your life, plant your life by the streams of His living waters, and you'll be the one who's blessed, the one who trusts in the Lord Jesus Christ.
TODAY: Take time to root your heart, mind, and soul in the stream of God, in His Word, in prayer, and in His presence-- and be firm, immovable, and blessed.
