My heart has been so heavy of late, with the recent daily news reports that Planned Parenthood is selling "baby body parts!" These kind of days make me feel entirely inadequate for battle, days when the Lord must remind me... the battle is not my own. Like Saul, who was facing a battle with the Philistine giant Goliath, fear has crept into my heart on more than one occasion. Still, it is God who reminds me "the battle is the Lords!" 1 Samuel 17:47
Hitler was responsible for 17 million murders, while Stalin was liable for 23 million, however, the United States of America is responsible for 57.5 million murders, (labeled abortions) from 1973 until our present time! It is heartbreaking to know that these precious little lives are taken, and now we know that Planned Parenthood is even making money off their tiny body parts. This is pure wickedness, spiritual wickedness!!
Does Planned Parenthood truly seek to help women in planning for children? I don't think so... it's more like Scammed Parenthood, making the almighty dollar off of it's victims!
Who can see and fully declare that a full term baby born alive, should be used for body parts?
Our warfare is against spiritual forces of wickedness (see: Ephesians 6:12), therefore our meager carnal weapons will not pull down the strongholds of Satan. It will take much more than human ingenuity, money, attitude, charisma, talent or personality!
The church today is often tempted to meet the challenges of the world by carnal means and by the worlds weapons, i.e., by humanistic wisdom, philosophy, psychology, and church performances focused on entertainment, etc. These all too often serve as a substitute for the basic New Testament practices of intense prayer, serious meditation on The Word of God and fervent proclamation of the gospel of Jesus Christ!
When David faced Goliath, he did so with a faith that could not be shaken or defeated. David's answer to Goliath's mockery was:
"Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied.
This day will the Lord deliver thee into mine hand; and I will smite thee, and take thine head from thee; and I will give the carcases of the host of the Philistines this day unto the fowls of the air, and to the wild beasts of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel. And, all this assembly shall know that the Lord saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle is the Lord's, and he will give you into our hands." 1 Samuel 17:45-47
David wasn't worried that the battle was too big for him... David knew if he did his part -- God would do the rest!
Likewise, we as Christians have a "Call of Duty" and it is Spiritual Warfare, which is accomplished exclusively by reading the Word of God, prayer and fasting! These weapons are powerful, simply because they are spiritual and come from God!
Take time to pray for mothers who feel there is no other way... but abortion. And, pray for the doctors and nurses who are carrying out these deeds.
Remember, "Our battles are not our own, they belong to the Lord!" We just need to do our part and know God will do the rest!!
